COMILLA: Local unit of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Friday announced a dawn-to-dusk haral for Sunday across the district.

Comilla (south) district unit organizing secretary Mostaf Mian made the announcement in the afternoon.

BNP called the shutdown in protest of filing ‘false’ cases against it leaders and activists including district unit secretary Hajji Aminur Rashid.

Local units of BNP-led 20-party alliance also extended their support to the shutdown.
