DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel handed over BNP joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed to Badda Thana police on Saturday afternoon.

RAB media wing assistant director Maqsudul Haque told banglanews that RAB-1 handed over Rizvi to law enforcers around 4:15pm.

Later, he was taken to Detective Branch (DB) police headquarters at Minto Road around 5:15pm, said Officer-in-Charge of Badda Thana MA Jalil.

Earlier, RAB-1 arrested Rizvi from Baridhara in the city in the wee hours of Saturday.

Sources said a case was filed naming 29, including Rizvi and 20 other unnamed persons on charge of arson attack.
