Khaleda to be sued for instigating murder

DHAKA: A murder case is going to be filed against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and three other leaders on Monday for instigating murder.

The BNP leaders are BNP chairperson’s adviser Dr Emaz Uddin Ahmed, vice chairman Shamser Mubin Chowdhury and standing committee member Rafiqul Islam Miah.

Jananetri Parishad president AB Siddique will file the case in Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court around 10:00am.

AB Siddique himself confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The BNP chief will be made accused for instigating killing of 42 people by arson attacks from January 5 during continuous blockade and phases of hartal called by BNP led 20-party alliance.

Plaintiff’s lawyer Rawshan Ara Shikdar told banglanews that the case will be filed under 302, 109 and 120 (B) of penal code.
