Khaleda sued for instigating murder

DHAKA: A murder case was filed against BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and three other leaders on Monday morning for instigating murder.

The BNP leaders are BNP chairperson’s adviser Dr Emaz Uddin Ahmed, vice chairman Shamser Mubin Chowdhury and standing committee member Rafiqul Islam Miah.

Jananetri Parishad president AB Siddique filed the case in Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court around 10:00am.

The hearing will be held at court of Metropolitan magistrate Atikur Rahman around 11:00am. 

AB Siddique told banglanews that the BNP chief was made accused for instigating killing of 42 people by arson attacks from January 5 during continuous blockade and phases of hartal called by BNP led 20-party alliance.

Plaintiff’s lawyer Rawshan Ara Shikdar told banglanews that the case was filed under 302, 109 and 120 (B) of penal code.
