DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Monday placed Shamsuzzamna Dudu, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser, on a four-day fresh remand in a case filed for hurling cocktails aiming at a passenger bus in Mirpur of the city.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubur Rahman passed the remand order after holding a hearing on the case.
Earlier, Mirpur Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Quamrul Hossain produced the BNP leader before the court with a fresh seven-day remand plea after completion of seven-day remand in two cases with the thana.
On the night of January 11, police arrested Dudu from Mirpur area in city.
Later on January 12, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Aminul Islam placed Shamsuzzaman Dudu on a five-day remand in a case filed under the Special Power Act.
On January 28, in a separate order, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Asaduzzaman Nur granted a 2-day remand against Dudu in another case filed for creating sabotage.
