CHITTAGONG: Miscreants hurled a cocktail at Chittagong court building on Monday amid the ongoing 72-hour nationwide hartal and indefinite blockade.

However, no one was injured in the incident.

Sources told banglanews that the cocktail was blasted around 3:30pm outside of bar council association auditorium while some of the advocates were sitting in the room.

Assistant public prosecutor (PP) Rony Kumar Dey, also the witness of the blast, said that the incident created panic among the people, who were present in the court area.

On the other hand, metropolitan police additional deputy commissioner (Prosecution) Kazi Muttakim Minan said, “The miscreants left the court premises riding on motorcycles soon after the blast.”

“We are looking into the matter,” he said.
