JESSORE: Police in separate drives arrested 44 people from eight upazilas of the district early Wednesday.

District police control room sources said among the arrestees one is BNP activist and two are Jamaat-e-Islami men.

The arrestees are accused in several cases and they were produced before the court Wednesday noon, sources added.
