BANDARBAN: At least six people were killed and three others injured in a gunfight between two factions of Parbatya Chattagram Jana Samhati Samiti (PCJSS) in Bandarban district early Tuesday (July 6).

All of the deceased are members of Jana Samhati Samity (MN Larma) group, including its Bandarban unit convenor Ratan Tanchangya, and members Bimal Kranti Chakma, David Marma, Pagati Chakma, Dipen Tripura, and Joy Tripura.

Bandarban police super Zarin Akther said confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

The incident took place about 6:35am when two factions of PCJSS exchanged fire near Bagmara Bazar under Rajbillai Union, she said.

Three injured persons were taken to Bandarban Sadar Hospital for treatment.
