Former minister Abul Kashem passes away

DHAKA: Former youth minister Abul Kashem died of old-age complications on Saturday morning at the age of 77.

He breathed his last at around 4:25am at his Banani residence in the capital.

Shamsuddin Didar, a member of BNP chairperson's media wing, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

Didar, a sub-sector commander of freedom fighters, left behind a son, two daughters and a host of well wishers to mourn his death.

He will be buried at his family graveyard in Cumilla following namaz-e-janaja at Asia-Goni Girls’ School field after Asar prayers.
