DHAKA: Jatiyatabadi Swechchasebak Dal President Shafiul Bari Babu died of cancer on early Tuesday (July 28). He was 49.

He breathed his last at around 4:00 am while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital. 

Swechchasebak Dal Secretary General Abdul Quader Bhuiyan confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said Babu had been undergoing treatment at Anwar Khan Modern Hospital in Dhanmondi for few days. As his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to Evercare Hospital around 2:00 am and died few hours later.
