Rumeen Farhana, BNP’s lone member of parliament from Reserved Women seats, tested positive for coronavirus.

Farhana confirmed the matter through a status posted on her verified Facebook page around 12pm on Wednesday.

Barrister Rumeen Farhana also urged to the countrymen to pray for her early recovery.

On May 28, 2019, Farhana was elected as Member of Parliament for the first time uncontested with BNP’s ticket. 

BNP chairperson’s press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan told Banglanews: “She has been sick for several days and staying at home following physician’s advice. However, her condition is improving.”
