A Chattogram court on Sunday framed charges against Abdur Rahman Bodi, former lawmaker from Cox’s Bazar-4 constituency, in a case filed against him for amassing illegal wealth.
Chattogram District and Sessions Judge Md Ismail Hossain framed the charges and set October 15 for beginning trial with witness deposition in the case.
With this, the formal trial has begun against Bodi, said Advocate Mahmudul Haque Mahmud, Anti-Corruption Commission lawyer.
ACC filed the case with Double Mooring police station in 2017 against Bodi for concealing information on amassing Tk 43.43 lakh and illegally acquiring Tk 66.70 lakh from unknown sources.
