Juba League man chopped dead in Ctg

CHITTAGONG: Miscreants chopped an activist of Juba League, the youth wing of ruling Awami League, to death in Tiger Pass Ambagan area of the port city on Monday night.

The deceased was identified as Murad, 30, resident of that area.

Party sources said while returning his home riding on a motorcycle, miscreants intercepted Murad and chopped him indiscriminately with sharp weapons at night, leaving him injured critically.

Locals rushed him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries at around 12:00am.

Assistant Commissioner of Police of Panchlaish Zone Abdur Rouf confirmed the matter to banglanews.
