DHAKA: Visiting US Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal asked to hold secretary general level talks between Awami League and opposition BNP.

Nisha came up with the plea while addressing a press conference on Monday just before her flight after three day-long visit in Bangladesh.

She said, “In democracy there is no room for violence. Two parties should discuss at secretary general level immediately.”
