Jamaat-cop clash in capital

DHAKA: Jamaat-Shibir activists locked into a clash with police at Merul Badda area of the capital on Saturday morning.

Witnesses said that police prevented Jamaat-Shibir men when they tried to bring out a protest procession at around 08:30am in the area which triggered the clash.

Meanwhile, Jamaat-Shibir men vandalized 8-10 vehicles. Police opened blank fire and tear shells to bring the situation under control.

Confirming the matter Badda Thana Officer-in-Charge Iqbal Hossain told banglanews, “No one was held in this connection.”
