New Zealand Women’s captain Sophie Devine won the toss and chose to bowl first, sending Bangladesh to bat in their third ICC Women’s World Cup game at Guwahati Stadium, India, today.

Bangladesh started the tournament strongly, defeating Pakistan by seven wickets and narrowly losing to England in their second match. Captain Nigar Sultana Joty said bowling first would give her bowlers a “freebie” and emphasized that the team aims to play their best.

Bangladesh made two changes from the previous game, bringing in Sumaiya Akter and Nishita Akter Nishi.

Line-ups:

Bangladesh: Rubya Haider, Sharmin Akhter, Nigar Sultana (c/w), Sobhana Mostary, Sumaiya Akter, Shorna Akter, Fahima Khatun, Nahida Akter, Rabeya Khan, Marufa Akter, Nishita Akter Nishi.

New Zealand: Suzie Bates, Georgia Plimmer, Amelia Kerr, Sophie Devine (c), Brooke Halliday, Maddy Green, Isabella Gaze (w), Jess Kerr, Rosemary Mair, Lea Tahuhu, Eden Carson.
