ICCR scholarships offer for Bangladeshis

DHAKA: High Commission of India in Dhaka announced the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) scholarships for the academic session 2017-18 for Bangladeshi nationals.

The scholarships are awarded to meritorious Bangladeshi nationals to pursue various courses in India at the Under Graduate, Post Graduate and PhD level, except in Medicine.

Around 3,000 ICCR Scholarships have been granted to Bangladeshi nationals by the Government of India till date.

Candidates who wish to apply for the scholarships are required to have proficiency in English and should have secured a minimum of 60 percent marks or a GPA of 3 out of 5 in the qualifying examination.

Application forms for these scholarships along with detailed information regarding the same may be seen and downloaded from the website of the High Commission of India in Dhaka.

Candidates should download and fill (typed and not handwritten), the application form, affix scanned copy of photo, sign (scan of hand-written signatures), data sheet and e-mail the same as a pdf document along with relevant attachments to one of the following e-mail addresses for eligibility screening of applications and subsequent EPT by the respective Mission:

iii. Asst. High Commission of India, Rajshahi: ahc.rajshahi@mea.gov.in.

The last date of submission of application forms by email is 5:00pm Thursday (December 31).

An English Proficiency Test (EPT) will be conducted for eligible applicants at tentatively on Friday (January 13, 2017). The English Proficiency Test will be held in batches from 11:00am onwards at all three locations (exact venue to be notified in due course) and the duration of each test is 30 minutes.

Applicants who qualify for the interview are advised to bring one hard copy of the application form with supporting documents (duly certified), at the time of interview and the finally selected candidates have to submit six sets of the same with duly certified supporting documents.
