SIRAJGANJ: The authorities have identified 40 fake examinees in the Ebtedayee terminal education examinations at Belkuchi upazila in Sirajganj and held them.

The fake Ebtedayee examinees were held during the examination on Tuesday (November 21).

A madrasa teacher named Enamul Haque Sumon, was also held from Delua Islamia Senior Madrasa centre. The fake examinees were also held from the centre.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Belkuchi Afsana Yeasmin told Banglanews that the fake Ebtedayee examinees were taking part in the examination under name of different madrasas. They are students of class six and seven, but took part in the Ebtedayee (class five) examination on behalf of the original students, she said.

The UNO said that the fake examinees were kept under the custody of Upazila Social Welfare Officer. Legal action will be taken against them.
