NOAKHALI: A school teacher was sentenced to one-year in jail for molesting a PEC examinee in an exam center of Noakhali’s Senbug upazila.

The mobile court of Executive Magistrate also Senbug Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Sharmin Alam announced the order at her office Tuesday (November 21).

Md Ibrahim, the teacher, was sent to jail administrated by Senbug Police Station. 

Ibrahim is a pre-primary teacher at Chandpur Khalifapara Government Primary School in Kadra union, and a resident of Domurua union under the upazila.

Locals said that he molested a girl at Gazirhat center during the exam on Tuesday (November 21).

UNO Sharmin Alam told Banglanews that the accused was awarded punishment as he was proven guilty.
