DHAKA: Teachers of all the government colleges across the country are set to observe full-day work abstention on November 26th and 27th, demanding the rank similar to BCS general education cadre.

The leaders of BCS General Education Association came out with the decision, at a rally bearing the slogan ‘No BCS, No Cadre’, at Central Shaheed Minar Friday (November 24).  

Teachers under BCS Cadre, from different government colleges, attended the rally. 

BCS General Education Association Secretary General Shahedul Khabir Chowdhury announced the work abstention.
 
“Full-day work abstention will be observed in all the govt colleges across the country on Sunday and Monday”, he said.

“We will wage a continuative movement if any new institution is nationalized even on the two days of refraining from work, in a fresh manner”, Kabir added.
