DHAKA: After Bangladesh Chhatra Legaue, now Dhaka University (DU) has withdrawn the expulsion order of its Poet Sufia Kamal Hall unit BCL President Iffat Jahan Esha.

DU Proctor Dr AKM Golam Rabbani confirmed the move to Banglanews Wednesday (April 18).

“The expulsion order has been retracted as she (Esha) is proved innocent as per the probe into the incident of Sufia Kamal Hall,” he said.

DU authorities earlier expelled Esha on charge of torturing a female protester inside the hall on April 11.

BCL also then expelled her from the ruling party’s student wing and later withdrew the order on April 13. 

Esha is proved innocent as per the investigation run into the incident, BCL then said in a press release.
