DHAKA: The Ministry of Education has nationalized 271 private colleges across the country.   

These institutions have been brought under government facility as promised by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to bring one school-college under government facility in each district and upazila.

It has been issued from Department of Secondary and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education on Sunday (August 12) that, “As per Government Certified College Teacher and Employee Empowerment Rules – 2012, a total of 271 colleges under districts and upazilas have been brought under government facility from 8 August.”
