DHAKA: Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Tajul Islam ordered an investigation into the school ceiling collapse in Barguna’s Taltali upazila that left a class-III girl killed. 

The minister also mourned death of the minor.

The local LGRD office has been ordered to take necessary action following investigation. And the school building will be reconstructed, he said.

At the same time, order has been issued to identify all the risky school buildings in Betagi upazila, added Tajul Islam.

The minister made the disclosure while talking to reporters after attending the swearing in ceremony of district council members, at the secretariat Sunday (April 7).

Eight-year-old Mansura was killed and five others survived injuries when a concrete grade beam of Chotobogi PK Govt Primary School building collapsed during a class Saturday (April 6) noon.
