Five days’ HSC exams rescheduled

DHAKA: The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations of April 17, 18 and 22 have been rescheduled due to public holiday for Shab-e-Barat and other issues.

The exams will now be held on May 9, 11 and 12 afternoon respectively, said Professor Md. Ziaul Haque, president of Inter-Education Board Coordination Sub-Committee on Monday (April 8).

Besides, the exams of May 4 and 6 will be held in the afternoon in stead of morning on the respective day.

Holy Shab-e-Barat, the night of fortune and forgiveness, will be observed in the country on April 21 and the following day April 22 will be public holiday.

The routine for the exams had been prepared considering April 21 as public holiday for Shab-e-Barat according to calendar of the year 2019, said Ziaul Haque.

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations 2019 began across the country on April 1 amid tough measures taken to check question paper leakage.

The written examinations will continue until May 12 as per rescheduled routine while the practical examinations will be held from May 12 to May 21.
