4 killed in Dohar AL-JP clash

DHAKA SOUTH: At least four people were killed and 20 others injured in a clash between supporters of Awami League and Jatiya Party in Bilashpur union under Dohar upazila of the district on Monday.

The incident took place at around 9:00am.

The deceased were identified as Aslam, 20, son of Anwar, Musa Khandaker, 50, his son Masud Khandaker, 28, of Hazarbigha village and Mokbul Munshi, 40 of Rajarchar village.

Sources said two groups led by Bilashpur Union Chairman Alauddin Molla and Hukum Ali Choukidar of the same area locked into fierce clash with local sharp and lethal weapons over Sunday’s polls, leaving around 25 injured.

The four fatally injured were succumbed to their injuries on way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Dohar Thana Sub-Inspector Ajoy Chakraborty confirmed the matter to banglanews.
