CHITTAGONG: Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Choudhury categorically said that according to parliamentary democracy, Jatiya Sangsad (JS) is the main center point for all discussions.

She came up with the assertion while talking to journalists after inaugurating a Rotary District conference in Chittagong Boat Club on Friday noon.

The speaker said that Jatiya Sangsad can be used as center point of all types of national discussion.

In reply to a query, Shirin Sharmin said that tenth national parliament will be effective and will go forward.

The speaker also said that there is an opposition party in the parliament, so they will play a vital role to make an effective parliament.

With District governor Rotarian M Aminuzzaman in the chair, conference committee chairman Alhaz Sufi Mizanur Rahman addressed in the programme.
