Constitutional reform: Citizens to give opinions through website

Mahfuz Alam, special assistant to the Chief Advisor and a member of the Constitutional Reform Commission, said that as the government decided to implement a new constitution, opinions from all would be taken.

He also said that the government would first consult with political parties before moving forward.

Alam made this statement during a press conference organized by the Constitutional Reform Commission at the National Parliament Complex on Sunday.

Professor Ali Riaz, head of the Constitutional Reform Commission, present at this time added that the commission will gather opinions and suggestions from various stakeholders to create reform recommendations.

He said the commission will collect feedback from the general public through its website.

Later, Mahfuz explained that after receiving the commission's proposals, the government would consult political parties to gather their opinions. Based on which, the government will take steps to implement the recommendations, which will be carried out by the current administration.
