Bangladesh received $2.39 billion remittances in October, marking an increase from the same period last year, according to the Bangladesh Bank's latest data.
Bangladesh bank data shows that remittances in October were slightly below September's $2.40 billion but well above October 2022's $1.97 billion.
A breakdown reveals that $726.1 million came through state-owned banks, while $119.9 million was received via the state-run Krishi Bank. Private banks facilitated the majority of the inflow, collecting $1.54 billion, while foreign banks contributed $7.17 million.
Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd recorded the highest remittance inflow in October, handling $431.49 million.
