CHANDINA, COMILLA: Communications Minister Obaidul Quader categorically said that BNP was defeated by the political strategy of Awami League.

He came up with the observation while visiting four lane development works on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Chandina of the district on Friday morning.

Dedicating the Valentines Day to the 16 crore people of the country, Obaidul Quader said: “Nothing is to be depressed in politics. I hope BNP will take a lesson from not participating in last general election.”

Over upazila polls, he added, “BNP has got sense back at last and decided to participate in upazila polls.”

Expressing satisfaction over four lane development work, the minister said: “China companies kept work halted for about three months due to political unrest; otherwise the work would have been completed earlier.”

He was accompanied by officials of roads and highways and his ministry.
