DHAKA: The High Court on Sunday awarded life-term imprisonment to 10 people in a sensational case of killing four policemen in Naogaon deducting death penalty passed by lower court.

An HC bench comprising Justice Quamrul Islam and AKM Jahirul Haque passed the order after final hearing of jail appeal.  

The court also acquitted two people from life time out of six and gave 10 years imprisonment.

Besides, the court acquitted five people who were given 10 years imprisonment by the lower court.  

On August 25, 2006, some terrorists slaughtered to death to four policemen as they resisted the looting in Manda Thana of Naogaon.
