The met office has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers across most parts of the country in the next 24 hours, starting from 9am Thursday.
Rain accompanied by lightning and gusty winds is likely in many areas of Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and in some areas of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, and Mymensingh. Some places may experience heavy rainfall.
A low-pressure area has formed over the Northwest Bay and adjoining regions, with the monsoon trough extending across parts of Bangladesh. The monsoon is currently fairly active over the country and strong over the North Bay.
Wednesday’s highest temperature was 35.1°C in Srimangal, while the lowest was 24.3°C in Bandarban.
