The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind across the country in the next 24 hours starting from 9:00am today.

According to the met office bulletin issued this morning, rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, and at many places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions.

Moderately heavy to very heavy rainfall may occur at places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions, the bulletin added.

Day temperatures may fall by 1-2 degrees Celsius, while night temperatures may fall slightly across the country.

On Wednesday, the highest temperature was recorded at 34°C in Badalgachhi under Rajshahi division, while the lowest temperature today was 22.6°C in Tangail.

In Dhaka, the sun will set at 6:38pm today and rise at 5:31am tomorrow.
