The Bangladesh Meteorological Department said in its forecast for Monday (Sept 8) that light rain is expected in Dhaka and surrounding regions, and the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy.
According to the weather bulletin, skies over Dhaka and neighbouring areas may remain partly to temporarily cloudy, with chances of light rainfall.
Winds from the south and southeast may blow at speeds of 10 to 15 kilometres per hour. Nighttime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged.
Elsewhere, scattered showers accompanied by temporary gusty winds are forecast across several parts of the country.
The Met Office expects light to moderate rain or thundershowers in many areas of Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, and in some areas of Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions. Isolated areas may also experience moderately heavy rainfall.
Day and night temperatures may fall slightly in Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, while remaining nearly steady elsewhere.
Looking ahead to the 24-hour forecast from Monday evening, rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty winds are likely in many parts of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and at a few places in Rajshahi, Khulna, and Barishal divisions.
Isolated moderately heavy rainfall is possible in some areas of Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet. Temperatures across the country are expected to remain mostly unchanged during this period.
