DHAKA: A Dhaka court Monday granted bail to Fazlul Haq Amini, former lawmaker and Chairman of Islami Oikya Jote (IOJ), and another six accused in a house-grabbing case.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court’s judge Abdur Rahim passed the order as the accused surrendered before the court in person and prayed for bail.

On 27 February in 2007, Moulavi Rashid Ahmed, a resident of city’s Abul Hasnat Road, filed the case against Amini and six others accusing them of capturing his house “beating out” his family members.
