RAJSHAHI: Rajshahi University Chhatra League activist Nasirullah allies Nasim, sustained severe injuries during an intra-party clash on the campus on August 15, died at Dhaka Medical Collage Hospital (DMCH) Monday.

RU proctor Prof Dr Chowdhury Mohammad Zakaria confirmed about the death of Nasim.

Nasim was beat up and pushed down onto the ground from the first floor Shah Makhdum hall following a clash between to factions of RU unit BCL over distribution of iftar token on August 15, the National Mourning Day.

He was rushed to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital in a critical condition and later shifted to DMCH as his condition deteriorated.        

A case was filed with Motihar Police Station accusing 10 BCL men in this connection on that day.

Among the accused, police arrested two BCL activists who are now in Jail hazat.
