RAJSHAHI: Police arrested four suspected members of an inter-district robbers` gang from Halidagachhi Battala in Charghat upazila on Wednesday.

Police also recovered a foreign revolver, a hammer and sharp weapons from their possessions, police said.       

The arrested were identified as Altaf Hossain, Alamgir Hossain alias Sagar, Sahin and Ujjal, hailed from Tepukuria village at Bagha upazila.

Charghat thana Officer-in-Charge Hamidur Rahman said a police patrol arrested the four at around 3:30am while preparing to commit robbery.

“They four are the active members of inter-district robbers` gang,” Rahman said.
