DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, also president of Awami League alleged that Ziaur Rahman rewarded the killers of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

“We made the nation free off blame by hanging the killers of Bangabandhu and setting up the ongoing trials of war criminals,” she added.

Sheikh Hasina made the disclosure while addressing a rally organized by Dhaka Metropolitan Awami League to commemorate August 15, the National Mourning Day at city’s Suhrawardy Uddyan on Friday.

She decisively supposed that each and every collaborator, who are accused for massive bloodshed will have the highest punishment as per law of independent Bangladesh.

The Awami League President also expressed gratitude to the people for electing Awami League in the last general election and urged to vote the party again for the further developments of the country.

She also alleged against opposition BNP for supporting Hefajat for their subversive and anti–Islamic activities throughout the country.
