Islami Andolan submits reform proposal

Islami Andolan Bangladesh has submitted its opinions on proposed reforms to the National Consensus Commission.

A delegation led by the party’s Secretary General, Principal Maulana Yunus Ahmad, submitted the proposal on Thursday (April 10) at the commission office in the Parliament building to Commission Vice-President Professor Ali Riaz.

Special Assistant to the Chief Adviser, Monir Haider, was also present at the time.

The delegation included Presidium Member Professor Ali Akn, Joint Secretary General Engineer Ashraful Alam, and Assistant Secretary General Ahmad Abdul Kaiyum.

The National Consensus Commission was formed under the leadership of Interim Government Chief Adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus to build a national consensus on reforms. The commission began its work on February 15.
