Islamic parties held a protest rally in front of the north gate of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka after Juma prayers on Friday (April 11), condemning what they called Israel’s “brutal genocide” in Palestine and demanding the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.

The demonstration was organised by Islami Jubo Andolon Bangladesh, Dhaka North and South units. 

Protesters expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine and urged the international community to take effective action to stop Israeli attacks by putting pressure on Israel.

Speakers at the rally called for an end to the killing of civilians and demanded justice for the victims of the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza and other Palestinian territories.
