DHAKA: BNP-led 20-party alliance is staging rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the city amid heavy downpour protesting National Broadcast Policy.

The rally started around 3:00pm. While thousands of supporters of the allies gathered at the venue ignoring the rain.

Dhaka City BNP convener Mirza Abbas is presiding over the rally where BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and top leaders of the alliance were present.

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia was scheduled to join the rally around 4:00 pm.
