RANGPUR: District BNP called a daylong hartal in eight districts of Rangpur division for Wednesday protesting the arrest of BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.

District BNP organizing secretary Asadul Habib Dulu made the announcement in a press conference in Barobari area of Lalmonirhat district.

Rangpur Metropolitan BNP President Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the party leaders and activists would observe the hartal from 6:00am to 6:00pm.
