NETROKONA: Police on Wednesday nabbed Mojibur Rahman Chowdhury, BNP secretary of Madan upazila of the district.

He was held around 9:30am during picketing from Puran Thana intersection area of the upazila on the second day of the nationwide indefinite rail-road-waterway blockade sponsored by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.

Police sources said that a case was filed against him on charge of creating violence in the area.

He was sent to the court in this regard.

Madan Thana Officer-in-Charge SM Mafizul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
