DHAKA: On behalf of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, party joint general secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Wednesday urged the BNP-led 20-party men to continue their countrywide blockade.
He made the call through a video-message from an unknown place in the afternoon.
Rizvi said, “Khaleda Zia is sick now. She will address the countrymen after recuperating. The incumbent fascist government is trying to kill her like Hitler ‘gas chamber’ style.”
Earlier on Wednesday, Rizvi secretly left the Apollo Hospitals where he was admitted to after falling sick at Nayapaltan central office.
Since then, Rizvi was undergoing treatment at the hospital. The senior BNP leader had been staying party’s central office since December 27.
