5 vehicles torched in city

DHAKA: Miscreants torched five vehicles in Madhya Badda, Paltan, Azimpur, Sadarghat and Mirpur areas of the city on Wednesday evening, on the second day of nationwide blockade imposed by BNP-led 20-party alliance.

Miscreants torched a passenger bus of Projapoti Paribahan in the evening, said a spot account of the accident.

In Madhya Badda, a gang of miscreants torched a pick-up van around 6:30pm.

None was reportedly injured in the incident.

However, fire fighters rushed to the spot to douse the flame.

On the other hand, a passenger bus was torched in front of the north gate of Baitul Mukarram, the national mosque.

No casualty was also reported in this incident.

Fire service sources confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Miscreants torched two buses in Azimpur and Sadarghat areas each around 7:00pm.

Fire Service Headquarters Operator Golam Mostafa confirmed the matter to banglanews.
