DHAKA: Miscreants hurled three cocktails aiming at the residence of Mohammad Sayeed Khokon, the organizing secretary of Awami League Dhaka city unit and also son of former city mayor Mohammad Hanif, in city’s Nazira Bazar area Monday afternoon.

Sources said some unidentified miscreants hurled three cocktails targeting the residence of the AL leader around 3:50pm on the day and fled the scene immediately.

Two of the cocktails were blasted while another remained unexploded.

On information, police rushed to the spot and recovered a cocktail from there.

However, none was injured in the incident.

Sayeed Khokon’s personal secretary Habibul Islam Sumon confirmed the matter to banglanews.
