DHAKA: Bangladesh Manobadhikar Party (BMP) and also Bangladesh National Alliance (BNA) chairman Nazmul Huda on Thursday sought assistance of United Nations (UN) in solving the country’s ongoing political crisis.
Huda was addressing a program on the occasion of launching a new political alliance in National Press Club of the city at the noon.
Huda said that, due to the existing crisis, the nation is confined today following the confinement of the leader of a political party.
Fair election is necessary in future to save the country, nation and human rights, he said adding “For this reason, way to hold talks will have to be created among the political parties with the assistance of the UN.”
At the function, Huda announced a new alliance of 26 political parties including BMP, Bangladesh Liberal Democratic Party, Bangladesh Labour Party and National Congress.
An expelled leader of Bangladesh Nationalist Party, Huda earlier formed Bangladesh Nationalist Front and later BMP.
