CHITTAGONG: Police held Chittagong central Chaatra Dal vice-president Manjurul Islam Manju from the city gate area of the port city on Thursday evening.

Police sources said that he was nabbed on charge of planning and creating violence in several places of the city.

At least 30 cases have been filed against him in different thanas of the city.

Pahartali Thana police held him from the area around 5:30pm.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (West) of Police SM Tanvir Arafat confirmed the matter to banglanews.
