DHAKA: A court on Friday placed Bangladesh Labour Party chairman Dr Mostafizur Rahman Iran on a-day remand in a case of vandalism and arson attacks.
The court of Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Rezaul Karim passed the order at noon in response to a seven-day remand plea filed by Paltan Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Jahangir Alam.
Earlier on Thursday, Paltan Thana police detained Iran from Lalbagh area in the city on the way to his political office.
Later, Iran has been shown arrested in a case of vandalism and arson attacks.
