DHAKA: Awami League (AL) Publicity and Publication Affairs Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud said killing people by burning and exploding cocktail-petrol bomb in the name of hartal and blocked can not be called politics for the people.

The AL leader came up with the remarks while talking to the journalists after visiting burn victims at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital around 11:00am.
 
Hasan Mahmud said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked the hospital authorities to provide free treatment to the burn victims. Even they will not need to buy medicine from outside the hospital.

Donation is being given to the burn victims and it will be continued, he added.

During the visit, Hasan Mahmud handed over cheques of Tk 5,000 as donation to each of 12 burn victims who are undergoing treatment at the hospital.

He was accompanied by Prime Minister's Special Assistant, also AL Office Secretary, Abdus Sobhan Golap, AL Health Affairs secretary Dr Badiuzzaman Bhuiyan Dublew, and AL Relief and Social Welfare Secretary Faridun Nahar Laily.
