Dr Emajuddin urges for dialogue

DHAKA: Former Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Dr Emajuddin Ahmed urged the government and BNP to sit together for a dialogue before Bangladesh turns into a failed state.

He was addressing a roundtable at the VIP lounge of National Press Club in city on Friday.

Dr Emajuddin said Bangladesh has not turned into a failed state though facing severe political crisis. Dialogue is the only way out to save the country from being a failed one.

Criticizing actions of the law enforcers, Dr Emajuddin said, “Police are now involved in killings and forced disappearances while RAB are acting as hired murderers.”

He also claimed that the common people do not have any faith in judiciary.

Center for Nationalism Studies chairman Barrister Fatema Anowar presided over the program. Other prominent journalists and bankers also spoke in the program.
